Importing Windows NT Users |
|
WorldClient Pro's "...\Util\" directory contains a utility called "ImportNT.exe" that can be used to import selected user's from your Windows NT User database into WorldClient Pro. With this utility you can select the Windows NT users for which you wish to create a WorldClient Pro account and then this utility will create one for them. The newly created accounts will have the same login, password, and full name as their corresponding Windows NT accounts.
To import Windows NT Users:
Run the ImportNT utility from the WorldClient group under Start and then Programs.
In the left box under the NT Accounts heading, click the NT user(s) for which you wish to create a WorldClient account.
Click the Top arrow button ">>" to move the users to the Selected Users box on the right. If you need to remove anyone from this box, click the bottom arrow button "<<" to return them to the NT Accounts box.
The Authenticate On This NT Domain control will contain the name of the Windows NT Domain that WorldClient will use when dynamically authenticating connections. This is not the machine name of the domain controller. This is the actual name of the NT domain. Only under special circumstances will this entry need to be changed.
Click the Import Selected Users button. The users that you have moved to the Selected Users box will now have WorldClient accounts created for them. As each account is created, the user's name will disappear from the box. If a user's name does not disappear from this box then that means ImportNT was unable to create a WorldClient account for that user. You will need to create that user's account manually.
Click OK
